Coastal Knook B&B

The house on the point

The Coastal Knook Bed and Breakfast sits at 128 Sea Cow Head Road in Bedeque, on a red sandstone point above the Northumberland Strait, with the Confederation Bridge on one horizon and Seacow Head Lighthouse on the other.

Your host, Beverly

Beverly Dickson runs the Knook and cooks the breakfasts, and her name comes up in nearly every review the house receives. She is Food Safety Certified through the Canadian SafeCheck Advanced Food Safety Program, she makes the preserves and honey on site with organic berries and florets, and her beach glass art hangs around the house.

During fishing season, ask her about lobster excursions and lobster dinners. The coffee bar is open 24 hours.

The common room

The common room has a gas fireplace and the same views as the bedrooms: the red sand cliffs, the Confederation Bridge and Seacow Head Lighthouse. There are board games, cards and movies for a rainy day, and a beverage station with fresh coffee, assorted teas and water.

The deck and the shore

The deck runs along the water side of the house, with the strait at the bottom of the lawn. Guests walk the ocean floor at low tide, collect beach glass, and end most days back on the deck for the sunset.

Open May to October

The Knook is a seasonal house, open May to October and closed through the winter while the strait ices over. If your dates fall anywhere in the season, contact us directly for best pricing.
